Rising Above Challenges: My Journey of Innovation and Impact
In 2021, I proudly graduated from the University of Nairobi, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Conflict & Peace Studies and Sociology. My journey led me to Cohort VII of Impact Africa Network's innovation fellowship, where I found my passion for nurturing the next generation of talent.
First Steps into Innovation
I am a Learning & Development professional, driven by a deep commitment to empower and inspire others. Joining the fellowship was a natural step for me, aligning with my mission to foster growth and transformation in our communities. Adapting to the innovative environment at IAN was a significant challenge during my early days. I recognized the need to upskill quickly to thrive in this dynamic space. It was a pivotal moment when I fully embraced the transformative power of innovation and technology in driving positive change in our communities.
Evolution and Growth
My journey within the fellowship took a fascinating turn as I transitioned from a fellow to leading the Learning & Development team. This transformation taught me valuable lessons in discipline, resilience, and the profound importance of finding one's purpose. Throughout this journey, I had the privilege of being guided and mentored by experienced individuals who played a significant role in shaping my path.

Unforgettable Moments and Emotions
One of the most unforgettable moments during my time at IAN was hosting a fireside chat with an SEO expert. This experience reminded me that anything is possible when you are surrounded by a community that supports your dreams. It rekindled my motivation for transformation through the Learning & Development program.
Personal and Professional Growth.
The impact of our work on communities became evident when I witnessed the remarkable growth of an innovation fellow through our program. Their unwavering commitment to learning and personal growth made me exceptionally proud of the role I played in their journey.
Leaving a Legacy
As I prepare to transition, I firmly believe there is still much to achieve through the Learning & Development program. My message to future fellows is simple: keep learning, keep growing, and never hesitate to pursue even the craziest of ideas.
