Key Responsibilities:

Content Development and Strategy:

• Support the content team in developing comprehensive content strategies that align with brand objectives while ensuring all storytelling elements resonate with target audiences across multiple platforms.
• Assist in transforming complex ideas and concepts into engaging narratives through various content formats including articles, videos, podcasts, and social media content.
• Support in conducting thorough research and interviews to gather compelling stories that highlight our impact and initiatives across Africa.
• Assist in maintaining an organized content calendar while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content pieces that meet brand guidelines and objectives.

Production and Creative Direction:

• Support video and audio production projects from conceptualization to final delivery, ensuring all content pieces maintain high production values and storytelling standards.
• Assist in directing and coordinating with videographers and photographers during shoots while providing creative input to capture authentic and compelling visual narratives.
• Support in managing production logistics including location scouting, talent coordination, and equipment preparation to ensure smooth execution of content creation projects.
• Aid in applying creative storytelling techniques across different mediums while maintaining consistency in brand voice and messaging.

Post-Production Excellence:

• Support the post-production process by providing clear creative direction to editors and ensuring all content pieces align with the intended narrative and emotional impact.
• Assist in editing and enhancing content pieces using industry-standard software while applying current trends and best practices in digital storytelling.
• Support the design team in integrating compelling visual elements that enhance the overall narrative and viewer engagement.
• Help optimize content for different platforms while ensuring maximum impact and reach across various digital channels.

Brand Storytelling and Communication:

• Support in developing and maintaining a consistent brand voice across all content pieces while adapting tone and style for different platforms and audience segments.
• Assist in creating compelling story arcs that effectively communicate our mission, values, and impact while engaging diverse audiences.
• Help build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to source authentic stories that showcase the impact of our initiatives.
• Support in providing regular updates on content performance and implementing data-driven improvements to storytelling approaches.

About the Innovation Fellowship Program:

We offer a unique 12-month innovation fellowship program for college graduates to work on well-vetted ideas with like-minded peers under the guidance of an experienced leadership team and mentor network with the goal to expand entrepreneur capacity while developing fundamentally sound early-stage startups.

This is a full-time on-site (Launchpad Innovation Campus) and an ideal opportunity to develop relevant professional skills, gain innovation & leadership experience, and the chance to be part of a startup founding team (from ideation to launch).
